The school is English  medium . in school we have only three class room and one office  and two toilet  with three teachers , two  among them  are men and one woman .school is located at kisakasaka village  3.3 kilometer   from  the main road  (Zanzibar town to Fumba village)  the aims of establishing the school is to promote the quality education to all  children  where by there parent  ware not able to send them to school due low income and lack  school for  promoting  good education to children .   Now school we have nursery  kindergarten (k .g) one and (k.g) two  and Primary . (s.t.d) one and (s.t.d) two..  Kg one we have 10 boys and 18 girls ,both 28.  Kg two we have 10 boys and 7 girls ,both 17 , so in  kindergarten we  have now 45 students.   And primary we have (s.t.d ) one 7 boys and 8girls ,both  are 15 pupils . (s.t.d) two we have a 9 boys and 9 girls  both18. students are 33. In roll school has 78 students where by  36 are boys and 42 are girls until this time  August of 2017.     In Newlight academy School we  have water and electricity in our, school building are all in school fence  for children security and all so our school stuff . School is providing education to all students without  base in one religion or any discrimination  in term of gender ,racial ,or body dis-ability to children .Teachers they work hard to ensure that student learn and understand  our subject and helps parent to guard our children the way to be good in behavior ..students they learn subject such as .Science , Mathematics , English , Kishwahili , Technology , Social study , Arabic , Religion (Islamic and christian)  , Sport and Arts . By arrange those subject in good week timetable ,  all so student at break  time they get break first .  However school is try to ensure that our aims of giving  student good and quality  education we made. but  there are many challenges face our school such as lack of class rooms ,,student  desk,  toilet  ,Teachers ,books , school bus transport , teaching aids , salary for our teacher and other school stuffs. all  so the money for repair our school building , office materiel needs and paying school building tax ..Newligh academy school we are finding the one how need to help us to promote the good education to our school for creating a good generation  for betterment of our Nation and all the world ..We need you to help us as you can in solving those challenges and controlling  school to our future .
